The Kasapoğlu II

Built in 1996, the Kasapoğlu II, like the rest of our yachts, is regularly maintained and modernised. At 20 metres, she is larger than the standard Turkish gulet, thus accommodating the same number of passengers in greater comfort.

Both exterior and interior are finished in wood, with the cabins and other areas furnished and decorated in the Turkish style. Expect to find soft carpets and rugs, plentiful cushions, and cool, tiled bathrooms. A self-contained home from home, she is luxurious by local standards while maintaining a traditional appearance and feel.

This yacht has six double cabins, each with its own en suite bathroom featuring a WC and shower. The cabins are spaced throughout the boat, giving everyone enough privacy. The three crew members have their own quarters.

In the centre of the vessel, downstairs, you’ll find the galley, where meals are prepared, next to the salon and bar. Cold drinks are always on hand from bar, and a crew member will be happy to mix a cocktail at your request. The salon area is a comfortable place to sit and talk, read or relax. For much of your time on board, however, we think you’ll want to be up on deck.

The exterior dining area with ample room for everyone allows meals to be served in the open air on the long, polished wood dining table. This often becomes the social centre of the yacht, as guests recline after their meals on the comfortable wide cushions.

Further forward, there’s a sunbed for each guest; as well as sunbathing during the day, why not try sleeping under the stars at night? Many of our overnight resting places are well away from inhabited areas, and we usually have the bay all to ourselves, or share it with at most one or two other vessels.

Snorkelling gear is available, as well as fishing equipment, and there’s a small fibreglass boat to take you between the yacht and the shore.

The air conditioning unit is run for a couple of hours each day, making the cabins pleasantly cool for the night or for an afternoon nap. Electrical sockets are available if you need to power mobile phones, laptops or other devices, though we suspect you may start to enjoy the sense of remoteness too much to bother with checking up on the outside world.
