“We just returned from spending 2 weeks in Turkey (end of August, early September). One of the highlights was spending 6 nights cruising the Med with Ali, Ahmet, and the most important member of the crew, Fatima, who was our amazing cook.

Ali is the owner and a really good guy. He was happy to work out a schedule that suited us all and show us some of the things we had wanted to see. But, local knowledge is everything, and he took us to places off the beaten track that were great.

The boat was clean and all the amenities were good. We’d heard some bad stories about gullets. What we can say is that our experience with Kasapoglu was worth passing on.

Fatima’s cooking was fantastic and has inspired us to try to recreate some of her amazing dishes.

The only downside was the heat at night. With the water of the Med being around 30C, and the evening temps not dropping much below mid-20’s, the cabins (good size, clean, all with good ensuites) were a bit like ovens. I slept out on deck most nights, and frankly, this is one of my enduring memories.

If you are considering a gullet cruise, consider Kasapoglu.”

“I have been on a gulet cruise with Ali Kasapoglu and Kasapoglu Yachting many times and can only agree with Springfree that he runs a very tight ship!

The boats are always immaculate and in excellent working condition. The whole experience of being out at sea is just so relaxing – especially as you are waited on hand and foot and served delicious food! – and the scenery stunning. And Ali is a lovely guy!”

“We have just returned from a week of gulet cruising on the Kasapoĝlu 2 whose captain is Remzi Kasapoĝlu, brother of Ali Kasapoĝlu. The boat is beautifully kept, cabins are as comfortable and roomy enough for two as you can expect on a boat this size with more than enough storage space. Ensuite bathroom is clean with plenty of space for storing toilet articles. Crew is completed with wife Emine who provided us with delicious and varied meals four times a day, and Ahmed, man of all work helping with anything that was necessary from cleaning to mooring to guarding the boat. The cruise was very relaxing, we sailed from one small cove or harbor to another for swimming and snorkeling, the temperature of the water was perfect at this time of year (first week of October). Lots of time for dolce far niente, reading, sunning. For us it has been the perfect way to recharge our batteries for the year ahead.”
